Site Core restructure and public tools
July 28, 2026The website has been altered on the backend to change how pages are created, this allows for direct linking to tools and just easier to maintain.
Weve moved our ball flight simulator tool to be publically accessible, this tool uses our in-house flight model as well as some other in-house functionality to predicat ball data from club data and to then build expected flights from ball data.
Also weve added a tool for club building and planning and altering swing weights and whole club MOI.
Srixon ZXi RKT 2026 Drivers are also HERE !!
July 27, 2026Have now recieved and in the process of testing the NEW RKT Series of Drivers from Srixon.
Videos to be released after the Irons......
Srixon ZXi 2026 Irons are HERE !!!!
July 24, 2026Just to keep everyone updated, the NEW Srixon ZXi 2026 Irons are here and being tested ready to up on the website. ZXi5+ (replaces the ZXi4), ZXi5 and ZXi7 2026 Models....
Also received the ZXi RKT Drivers and they will be tested after the Irons.....
Look out for the YouTube reviews of these new products.....
Srixon has really worked hard to up their game for the visuals on the woods, and the Irons look as good as they always have .
Driver Adjustable Weights and what effect they TRULY have.....
May 26, 2026Todays YouTube video release is a really interesting one and one that all Golfers wondering what Driver Weights do and how much affect it has on Launch and Spin..... Cutting through ANY Marketing given by golf brands on the way Adjustable Weights work and how much difference they make. I've got the brand NEW Titleist GTS2 Driver and swapped the Front and Back weight in what Titleist call their FAST MAX setup...... 2:30pm UK Time........
Titleist Day
May 19, 2026After some very frustrating and potentially expensive system problems yesterday, the Titleist GTS 2 Driver video is now up and released on YouTube. I am working hard to get the GTS 3 video edited (still with ongoing system issues) and my plan is to get that one up hopefully tomorrow if not latest Thursday. Then the work starts with everyone seemingly wanting the Old vs New videos on the GTS2 definitely and then also the Weight Change video where I will swap the 11g and 5g weight around to see what real differences the weight ports actually make......
Cobra KING and KING MAX Irons are finally here..... AND WOW !!!!
April 22, 2026QUICK UPDATE for you all. Cobra have finally sent some samples for the NEW 2026 Cobra King and King MAX Irons and I honestly don't know why they have been dragging their feet for so long.... Still waiting on the OPTM Drivers, but these Irons are amazing at their Face Forgiveness.
Reviews to come on YouTube but the data will be uploaded for the website members to see and compare before the release of the video reviews as another thank you for all that support the channels goals and vision to be the number one platform for golfers to go to for unbiased measured data to allow golfers to make a better and more informed decision on equipment and whether or not their next potential purchase is actually and improvement.
What is the reasoning?????
April 15, 2026So ever since releasing the Mizuno M13 Irons video I have been asked to complete a dataset with the Long Irons to see what the Heat Map looks like. Since the M13 is quite unique with a brand choosing to use completely different face technologies within the same set of Irons, I have completed a dataset with the M13 Long Irons and below is the difference.... Interestingly there is also differences in Radar Chart performance which golfers may have to take into account when choosing them, although the performance benefits the functionality in a good way rather than anything bad.
Interested to know your thoughts (comment on Discord - link on the homepage) on why Mizuno deliberately decided to not put Contour Ellipse in the full range of Irons and only in the 4 and 5 Iron....
This is the M13 main Irons Heat Map......
And this is the M13 Long Irons Heat Map........
Let me know your thoughts.........
Rory WINS at The Masters....
April 13, 2026Simply this..... Rory in the Final Round did his best at the start to lose it and then his best during to win it. Well Done Rory for successive Wins, 1 Shot better than he managed last year.....
With another win he would join other greats of the Game such as Harry Vardon, Bobby Jones, Gene Sarazen, Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer.... Has he got enough time left to make it to double figure Major Wins???
Taylormade Irons and Drivers NOW HERE !!
March 21, 2026All the NEW Taylormade Irons and Drivers are now on the website. From the Heat Maps, Radar Charts and Self Fit Tool data to find out objectively how these Irons and Drivers really perform and if they are going to be any good for your golf game.
YouTube reviews will be coming for these in the upcoming weeks, I just wanted to give my website members pre-release access to the data as a small thank you for your continued support in being a member of the website.
Heatmap vs Club size.
March 17, 2026We get a lot of questions about whether the heatmaps are affected by club size.
The first important point is that we locate the center of the face first, then build the heatmap outward from that point in millimeter-based grids. Because of that, the heatmap scale is the same for every club. A larger or smaller head does not change the heatmap itself.
The second point is that the actual hitting area of iron faces does not vary as much as many people assume. Most of the visible size differences between irons come from things like sole width, topline thickness, offset, and hosel shaping—not from a dramatically larger usable strike area.
In practice, the distance from the heel-side groove line to the upper toe area only changes by a few millimeters across clubs that are roughly 70 mm face-width. That means club size usually does not matter much unless the strike is extremely far from center—something like 30+ mm out toward the toe where contact is barely hanging on.
Example: 3 very different irons
-
Callaway Great Big Bertha
-
TaylorMade P790
-
Callaway Apex MB
These look dramatically different in overall size and shaping, but the actual hitting area only changes by about 3 mm.

These vastly different sized clubs in other aspects only change 3mm on hitting area.

THEY HAVE ARRIVED
March 06, 2026For ALL the Cobra 3DP MB fans out there waiting for the YouTube review and associated Website Performance and Heat Map data...... They have arrived.
I have done the B Roll footage today and am in the process of collecting the datasets ready for the reviews. Normally I like to do the review first and then hit the clubs but I have been waiting for such a long time to test these Irons, I just had to do it out of normal order......
Lets see how these Irons actually perform.....
A BIG THANK YOU !!!!
March 04, 2026Just wanted to reach out to everyone that is a website member. Even if you are a new member that hasn't reached their first recurring monthly cycle, to the avid follower that has helped and supported me through the website growing to what it is today. I wanted to say THANK YOU to ALL.
If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to try and attain my goal of this website and YouTube channel content being the most independent, unbiased, objectively measured knowledge base of golf club performance on the internet. In a world where equipment costs so much money and it seems worse than ever for having retail outlets just trying to get the sale and upsell anything they can tag along during the buying process, it is now more important than ever that you guys have access to information and data to support the required purchase and arm you with information so you aren't over sold anything.
I love reading examples that people send to me saying how much money they have saved by using askgolfnut.com and its tools and features. That it has allowed them to go into the buying process or custom fitting process knowing and narrowing down the irons that will best work for them and not over purchasing club they don't need.
This was and still is the No 1 motivation for this platform, to help golfers of all abilities in making sure they have the best and most independent information available.
Thanks again to you all, it really is very much so appreciated.
Jay.
Who's READY for PING to release a few updated products??
March 03, 2026So Ping have another busy time ahead with the Launch of the new i Series Iron in the form of the i540 irons, the successor to the extremely popular i530 Irons. They are also releasing their new G740 Iron which firmly sits in the Super Game Improvement side of their line up.
The i540 has some small changes in technology over the i530 which Ping are hoping to see an incremental change and improvement on the i530. The G740 has probably had the most aggressive visual change of both of the new releases.
I will be releasing the i540 video and the G740 video at embargo time which currently is the 10th March 2026 at 3pm UK Time but these dates haven't been set in stone and could change at any time by Ping. The chances are that I will do a slightly staggered release with the i540 Irons video releasing first and maybe the G740 Irons either later that day or even the day after.
For the website users I even though both YouTube reviews may well not release at the same time and be staggered in release, the website data and tool functionality will be accessible straight away for both irons.
Thank you again to all the website users that support me and the channels goals to help the everyday golfer navigate the world of heavy marketing and media hype and myth of equipment sales....
Shot data expectations and regression.
March 02, 2026If we expect our golf club to have a max smash factor of 1.35 and we hit 10 shots all perfect this is the result we would expect to see.
All 10 shots have the exact same value and sit on a nice straight line.
No Launch monitor is 100% accurate and the exact same shot on the same machine 10 times can produce slightly different readings and the same 10 shots could actually look something like this.
So now even with perfect strikes we have a “noisey” data set that makes knowing how much we actually lost on miss hits very difficult.
But we can do something called regression analysis to make take out our random read errors.
The Regression creates a new data line for us to work from. We now have our baseline back with an error of 0.0001. The more shots we have the more accurate we can get our baseline.
So if we now hit our shots across the face, with Shot 1 being the middle and Shot 10 being 10mm Toe.
We end up with a line showing us loss per mm.
We still show our 1.35 perfect strike value and then a 0.0012 smash loss per mm across the face.
We also must look for other data outliers, we know what our expected read errors are (between the yellow lines), and given that smash loss across the face is very linear, we can pick out other bad data but looking outside our expected data window removing these shots from the analysis improves our loss per mm estimate.
When we process all shots in our system we normalize Smash factor into Face Speed, this accounts for other delivery variables.
See the post of Smash factor losses.
Smash Factor loses.
March 02, 2026Smash factor is the ratio of ball speed to club speed ex: 108 MPH ball speed and 80 MPH club speed equals a smash factor of 1.35.
Every difference in angles between the direction the club is moving at impact (we call these Path for the Horizontal plane and AOA for the Vertical plane ), and the angle of the face at impact (we call these Face to path for the Horizontal plane and Delivered loft for the Vertical plane). Causes additional losses to smash factor.
If we get a measured smash of 1.35 from a strike and the only angles we had on that shot was a 0 AOA and a 26-degree delivered loft.
Then we can visualize the loss of smash from the strike as a triangle of the measured smash as one side and the possible max smash without the angle as the longest side. In this case 1.50
If we flatten(normalize) this triangle and just leave our longest side we call this value “Face speed”.
We must do this for all angle differences compared to the vertical and horizontal path. But no matter how well or poorly a person hits the ball those angles can be normalized. After doing that the value we’re left with per shot face speed which can be used in regression analysis to measure club face consistency.
See the post on Shot data expectations and regression.
Website core update.
February 19, 2026To help with data integrity the underly storage and update method of the website is being changed. Weve made best efforts to make sure everything still works as intended as before the update if you notice something is broken please drop us a line on our discord server.
Face Spin Rate
February 14, 2026Yes, total spin (S) + spin axis (θ), and “side/back spin” can be mathematically converted back and forth once you know both values.
But it’s a really bad idea to think of it that way because that’s not how the system actually behaves.
Hitting a ball doesn’t “create two spins.” It creates one spin vector: a total spin magnitude, and an axis/orientation that is determined by the impact delivery (face-to-path, strike, friction/gear effect, etc.).
So even though:
"backspin" = S·cos(θ)
"sidespin" = S·sin(θ)
A common mistake is to think: if one goes up the other must go down. That only follows if you assume total spin S is fixed. If θ is fixed and S increases, both components increase proportionally.
This is why some people assume: “If I increase backspin I must reduce sidespin, so a club/ball that makes more backspin will fly straighter.”
But the axis isn’t something that is a result of the other two. The axis and total spin are set by the same impact delivery; the axis isn’t derived from side/back components. You can only convert into “back” and “side” once you define a reference direction (ball flight direction).
Ex1. If you change the reference direction you’re resolving against (target line vs some other axis), the “back/side” labels can change even though the underlying spin vector is the same.
Ex2. You hit a shot from a sloped bank, say 5 degrees. You deliver the club square to your tilted frame, which should feel like a straight shot, but the ball can curve because your entire delivery frame was tilted 5 degrees to begin with.
This is why when processing our shot data we can take individual orientation out of the equation. Because we remove the ball from any given orientation to the world, the total spin made from the iron on that strike is the total spin. We don’t really need to know if it would fly straight or not in some global frame. We know the impact spin loft and we know the club speed. From there it’s an easy step to define a club’s true spin generation rate (FSR, face spin rate).
It doesn’t matter what AoA the golfer had, what path or FtP they used, or even what shaft they used—we sidestep that complexity by not defining things we don’t need to define.
How a ball flies is mostly a ball/aero problem. We’re not “testing ball flight,” we’re comparing clubs under the same ball/conditions.
So avoiding thinking of them as “side spin” and “backspin”—even though you can compute those components mathematically—is what makes that part of our process work. Weve taken many such problem solving steps in alot of our data processing.
What is a heatmap
February 09, 2026
When a club hits a ball the ball moves away from the club at a speed different (smash factor) than the club hit it due to the differences in weight(mass).
In a perfect would an impact between a 46g ball and a 200g club head , the max smash would be ~1.63. The PGA set rules on how “springy” a club face could be and that further limits the max smash to be ~1.50.
You also get energy losses when the face is pointing in the different direction than the head is moving for example the loft of the club.
The above 1.50 is true when the loft of the club is 0 degrees, as impact loft increases the max possible smash goes down by the Cosine of the angle [Cos(Degrees)].
So at 10 degrees it would be 1.47 and 30 degrees 1.29.
Every other angle that is present at impact needs to be accounted for , we can use some nested trig or quaternions to make a total loss angle for any given impact.
We can now hit a club on any part of the face and record the measured club and ball speed, by reversing out total loss angle , we can produce a normalized smash for every impact, we take the highest value recorded as the fastest part of the face and the values less than that are how much less springy the other parts of the face are.
The margin of error for the adjustments is very low, well below the read threshold of launch monitors 0.3MPH. Regression analysis can be used to refine everything further. You don’t need to precisely replicate every mm of the face only show the trends across the face compared to other clubs.
This is what a heatmap is, the more green the more evenly springy a face is and the more likely you are to see consistent carry numbers on hits across the face.

Callaway QUANTUM Drivers and Irons
January 19, 2026So after collecting the Callaway Drivers and Irons today (a bit down that the account didn't have the TD Max and TD heads available), although after spending the day collecting many datasets, I'm kind of glad that I didn't... More on that in the coming reviews....
But as a continuing thank you to all the Gold Members, I will open up the access to all of the performance data and heat maps etc to the Irons and also Drivers tested....
Thanks again to all that support the channel, and of course special thanks to the Gold Tier members.....
Give me a very short while and I'll open up the access on the website 👍
Quantum coming to the website.......
January 18, 2026Greetings ALL, firstly..... I hope everyone has had a nice weekend..... I have a bit of news, I have been able to source an unknown as yet amount of the Quantum clubs..... Due to having to get them backto the fitting centre asap, I will have to do a talking head video to get the datasets done and get the clubs back to the account.... It means I can do the datasets first and film the sets, I will then grab B Roll from the shots of the clubs to be used in the video review to explain FEEL etc... This will allow me to get the clubs back asap whilst still getting reviews out there and populating the website with all the data for the new Quantum........
Secondly....... some of you may have noticed that within the Driver data page, the Tour Edge drivers are no longer at the top of the table for Face Speed. This is due to them effectively being illegal at 1.501+ (we use a 0.001 margin for rounding errors..... yes it is literally that exact ). I can only assume that this is another example of a brand sending out media samples that have failed the COR limit tests that the brands do... These media samples will never see the light of day and at most only ever find themselves on the 2nd hand market if a brand decides they want them back and NEVER on a Tour truck to be seen as illegal. This is a practice that I have seen before but until now never had the measuring tools fine enough to show it..... SO, I asked Andy to manually adjust the clubs (which took quite a lot of time) to sit at the legal limit of such and therefore bring them all into line where you the consumer should see them at retail..... I think this is the only fair thing to do as its not fair to have clubs that are the wrong side of legal top any charts.
2026 NEW Iron Releases HITTING the Forgiveness HARD !!!
January 13, 2026We've seen a flurry of equipment come in and also a load more still to do (PXG Irons x 3 releasing on Thursday, Sunday and Monday hopefully) and we have already seen some interesting changes to the database tables and charts with these new offerings.... Its like the brands are focusing less on raw speed and more on keeping ball speed more consistent across the face. The Heat Map tech shows this visually as there are already some impressive clubs and more also to come.....
COBRA are releasing their NEW 2026 Models
January 10, 2026Greetings, any day now there will be the NEW Cobra 3DP X Iron video released. Their new Game Improvement model of the 3D Printed line.... Some really good performance from the 3D Printed Irons... Can they get the price of manufacturing them down to open it up to a larger market??
Mizuno Week is going well...
January 08, 2026Greetings all, its been a busy week with the media embargo lifting on the NEW Mizuno Pro M13 and M15 Irons, also the NEW Drivers in the JPX ONE that has had its video release yesterday and the Select Model still to be released... All Data has now been released on the website even for the Select Driver that hasn't been released on YT yet.
I have the Pro Fli Hi on order so when that comes to Custom hopefully I will get my review sample to do a review of that.
Fairway and Hybrids are in the review process, I have hit some datasets with them but we need to get the website backend ready to take the new section if we are to publish them on the website.
Again, I just want to take the opportunity to thank every member of the website that has recently either joined or has been a recurring member for any length of time. Without your support I couldn't do what I do and the goal I have of bringing everyday golfers the only trusted source of independant non biased, unmarked and uninfluenced information available.
Thanks again....
Driver Dashboard
January 02, 2026For Information. There has been a rogue hybrid that has made its way into the Driver data that has skewed some of the upper / lower limit ranges which will mean that the Radar Chart and also Guages for the Driver information will change. To note, the DATA for the Drivers is unchanged and all Perform exactly as they should and have, its just what constitutes High and Low levels.
Just wanted to be totally transparent if you see the data on any YouTube review and it doesn't exactly align to the corresponding page on the website this is one. Also the Radar / Guages charts are dynamic and will change anyway as soon as other Irons or Drivers in this case are added.
Not long now til a flurry of embargo products releasing and also the videos on my YouTube channel.
Brand NEW Embargo Products COMING SOON!!
December 28, 2025Not long now till the releases of the NEW Products for 2026 and all the Forgiveness Heat Maps and Self Fit information. Members will be able to see how the NEW Products compare to the old and where their hard earned money is best spent.....
I know there hasn't been much content of late and this is due to some family life stuff and also working hard on getting the videos filmed and edited for the NEW Embargo products coming soon....
How Our Precision Works (And Why Rankings Move a Little)
December 07, 2025You may notice, every now and then a club will move a few points up or down in the rankings when we push a software or model update.
I want you guys to understand what’s actually happening under the hood, and why these changes are normal when you’re working at the level of precision we are.
What we’re doing at AGN basically doesn’t exist outside of an OEM’s internal R&D department – and their data is never public. We’re modeling how much smash you lose per millimeter of strike error, and using that to build a truly performance-based forgiveness score.
Across the whole iron table, the range looks roughly like this:
-
The “worst” head is around -0.330% loss per mm of miss, which is about 0.0033 smash factor lost per mm.
-
The “best” head is around -0.120% loss per mm, or about 0.0012 smash per mm.
That means the total spread from worst to best is only about 0.0021 smash per mm.
Now we map that into a 50-point forgiveness scale. If you spread 0.0021 smash over 50 points, each single point on the AGN forgiveness score is worth roughly:
-
0.000042 smash per point.
That’s an insanely small number.
Most golfers are used to seeing smash factor as something like “1.30”. We’re not just looking at 1.30 vs 1.31. We’re distinguishing between things like:
-
1.30033 vs 1.30012.
That difference is enough to move a club a few points on our scale.
What does this mean for you as a player?
First, the rankings are not there so you automatically choose an 86 over an 82 just because the forgiveness number is slightly higher. At this level of precision, those two are effectively doing the same job for most golfers. The real value of the scale is to help you avoid the outliers: if one head is living in the 60s and another is in the 80s or 90s and they both fit your distance, loft, and gapping needs, that’s when the forgiveness score should influence your choice.
So in practice:
-
Don’t sweat tiny gaps like 82 vs 86 as if the 82 is “bad”.
-
Do use the ratings to steer away from a 62 when there’s an 84 or 91 that fills the same role in your bag.
As we keep improving the software, adding more shots, and tightening the math, you’ll occasionally see small rank changes like this. That’s not the system breaking – that’s the system doing its job at a very fine resolution. The big picture doesn’t change: a good head is still a good head, and a bad head is still a bad head. The micro-shuffles you see are just the cost of working with very precise data.

Manual Excel replaced by DB and Automation
November 06, 2025When we first started building the heatmaps, we were working from historical data and using the smallest viable number of shots to form a usable pattern. The math behind the heatmaps was entirely home-grown—there was no external reference to validate it against. Call that original model Math v1.0.
Over time, we introduced incremental refinements as we learned more. Nothing dramatic—just small improvements to how certain adjustments were calculated. For example, switching to Loft + FTP·sin(Loft) to replace a more classical atan(tan(FTP)·cos(SpinLoft)) model that works well for rigid bodies but doesn’t match a golf ball’s real behavior as closely. These kinds of tweaks gradually moved us from versions 1.0 → 1.01 → 1.02, and so on.
The new automated processing system now uses this refined 1.x math. Because of that, some older clubs may show slightly different values compared to their original uploads. A Forgiveness score shifting from 92 to 96, for example, represents roughly a 0.01% change per mm—well within normal variance for real-world play.
Another major improvement is fully automated outlier detection. Previously, I reviewed shots manually and removed clear read errors or unrealistic strikes. Now that logic is coded, which means the system may occasionally reject shots I previously would have kept, or keep shots I may have considered outliers. These changes also result in small adjustments to final values.
The biggest challenge with doing all this work manually was that every math refinement meant reprocessing every single iron. Updating 100 irons could take days. With the new system, all clubs can now be rebuilt at the press of a button. However, because the system is recalculating everything consistently with the improved 1.x math, the values won’t be a perfect 1:1 match with the original 1.0 era. If any numbers have moved, I apologize—but the only reason they’ve changed is because the math is now more accurate than it was during our first pass.

06-11-25: Database UPDATES
November 06, 2025Just some info for everyone, in preparation for the upcoming flurry of additions to the website for the 2026 products, the website is under going some important back end work. This may make some of the Advanced Iron Data tables look a bit whacko over the next day or so while we compile the background data.
Things could move around quite often so over the next 24hrs or so if you could be patient while some clubs which were previously not the best seem to be the best clubs since sliced bread :-) it would be appreciated.
As always if you have any specific questions or thoughts, then feel free to let myself or Andy know on the Website Feedback portion of the channels Discord (its the quickest and easiest way to get your input actioned).
05-11-25: Sorry for the lapse in NEWS and UPDATES
November 06, 2025Sorry guys for not updating this section in a while its a very busy time of year prepping for the now upon us (or me at least) silly season.....
We have quite a few new offerings on the way, namely from Cobra, Mizuno, Ping, Srixon, Taylormade, Wilson etc etc..... spread between December to end January launch.
Due to the website and style of reviews that the channel completes, this has caused some friction between the marketing departments of certain brands and they have started to pull away from supporting the channel with media samples for review. Obviously this is disappointing but expected as not all brands want their lovely new products with multi-million pound/dollar stories and tag lines having their dirty laundry aired openly and honestly.
This has now caused me to use other methods for some brands to get hold of the product and therefore the reviews may be a touch later than the rest based on myself having to source at Retail.
This delay is also made more difficult due to the cost of myself having to in some cases purchase these within in the retail sector to bring everyone the reviews and honest performance data from them. I appreciate all the help and assistance with Donations that you guys have given to support me in my goal of bringing you the most honest reviews based on pure measured performance and not the marketing hype the manufacturers want published. Any Donations can be made using the Donate button on the bottom left of the website, I thank everyone again who are choosing to support me in this...... Hopefully one day the manufacturers will chose to work with me rather than attempt to exclude the honest truth from golfers eyes and ears.
08-10-25: DRIVER Database Gen 2 UPDATE
October 08, 2025Greetings All, just wanted to let everyone know that the Driver database has been updated to now add Gen 2 data. Not all Drivers that we had in the database had enough shots within the datasets to construct the Advanced Data metrics so not all are available. There may be some limited opportunity to add additional shots at a later date for some of the Drivers to attempt to populate with older models.
The main aim was to construct as best practice process that all other reviews going forward is held to and that give all the required data needed with the reliability and resolution of accuracy that we see in the Iron database.
Driver Heat Maps Gen 1 and 2 are still available for Bronze Tier, the Advanced Data and NEW Driver Dashboard is available for Silver Tier (Driver Dashboard is still in Beta with potential comparison updates to come), and the Self Fit Tool for Driver is in the Gold Tier where you can directly compare any of the qualifying Drivers in the database with your own swing characteristics to see which one best suits you required flight trajectory and distance.
05-10-25: Tour Edge DRIVERS Coming Soon !!
October 05, 2025Some very interesting results coming from this years Tour Edge Drivers.....
The MAX takes over from the E725, both of which are 10K MOI but the MAX being even more MAX
The LS version takes over from the C725 and for both Drivers we are getting some surprising Heat Map and Advanced Data for them.
This is the 1st batch of clubs based on the 2026 season (I know it starts earlier and earlier every year) and so far it seems Tour Edge are doing a really really good job at the upgrade....
19-08-25: Titleist Irons videos filmed
August 19, 2025All the new 2025 Titleist Irons T100, T150, T250, T350 have all been filmed, I have the Numbers sides of the videos still to do and all the editing, but my plan is for the 1st video T100 to be released on Thursday 21/08 and then run in sequence.....
Remember Gold Members, the access to the data is already available for you to see before the videos are released.... Just another perk for being top tier supporters 👍

Any constructive feedback will also be welcome, also via Discord if possible.
06-08-25: MAJOR UPDATE Coming.....
August 07, 2025We've been working hard in the background to create the start of a kind of Self Fitting Tool for Driver....
The very popular and useful Self Fit Tool for the Irons which has alreadt helped so many people make the right choice for their next set of Irons and also saved them all money unsuring they know how many Irons to buy and not just buy 4-PW.
Now we are using the same concept on the Driver, full of complexity trying to get this much more difficult task completed, but we have the working start of a functional Self Fit Tool for the Driver. About to finish its Beta Testing.
ALL GOLD Tier Members will have access to the New Tool. Don't forget to give constructive feedback if you feel that there is something obvious that would improve its functionality.
29-07-25: NEW Radar UPDATE for the Silver Tier
July 29, 2025We have now revamped the much loved Radar Chart that allows the website Silver Tier and above users to compare directly now not on 2 irons but now up to 5 in one go. See directly the differences in Forgiveness and also Flight characteristics in one easy to understand Spider Chart.
Let me know on Discord your feedback for the new tool 👍
27-07-25: Backend Database Work underway and Updates
July 27, 2025Hi All, just so you know we have been working on adding in all the Loft/Lie/Length and set compostion specs into the Database so you guys can have the specs to hand on the Heat Map page. Some of you may have already noticed some of the irons have it already. It should update every time an iron spec is added.... Doing it manually takes a long time.
Also I will doing a Mizuno Pro 243 vs Mizuno JPX925 Forged Irons Review very soon. I have added some extra shot data into the Legacy Heat Map capture for the original Pro 243. It has affected the heat map very very slightly but considering the original heat map was one of the very first done, even including the extra shot data, the heat map has hardly moved which again proves how good even the first iteration of the Heat Map tech was. To give perspective the overall difference for the Pro 243 from original to now is 0.018% per mm loss.... I think you'll agree, thats hardly anything :-)
07-07-25: Sorry for the lack of Updates, I've been busy with Mizuno PRO S1 and Ping i240
July 07, 2025Greetings everyone, sorry for the lack of updates over the last couple of weeks, its been all hands on deck with some work on the website database whilst also trying to get the Srixon Drivers filmed and edited.
I have also got 2 exciting Iron releases coming very soon. The Ping i240 Irons which replace the i230 irons and the Mizuno Pro S1 Irons which replace the Pro 241.
More information to come on these very soon and their associated Heat Map and Advanced Data will be updated. Remember the Gold Members will have access to the Heat Maps and Data for the Irons before everyone else.... 👍
16-06-25: All the Ping G Series Irons Complete
June 16, 2025All the datasets for the Heat Map Forgiveness and also the Advanced Flight Data all completed for the Ping G400, G410, G425, G430 and updated G440 Irons.
All will be available on the website soon and also a video on YouTube also. You may well be surprised what has been happening to the design of these models over the years and what Ping has been focusing on changing in the Irons..... For the Good or the Bad????
15-06-25: Database LEGACY TM Stealth HD Irons Update
June 15, 2025Just so you know the Taylormade Stealth HD Irons have now been added to the database. Initially until the Iron is published it sits in the Club Import section where it will be visible to all website members when Enabled.
The GOLD Members get early access to all the NEW data on the website whether it is Disabled or Enabled, so Gold Members can view it now.
14-06-25: Any Love for Legacy Ping G Irons??
June 15, 2025I have pulled out some old Ping G Irons namely G400, G410, G425, G430 and have the intention of putting together a video about the old to new G Series Irons.
Does this kind of content interest you and if so give me your feedback on what other Irons you would like tested on my Discord below......

13-06-25: Still going on in the Background.
June 13, 2025Even though this is a small pause in content on the YouTube channel due to the US Open this weekend, we have been busy in the background working on a simple but great addition to the Website. After running a poll on my Discord (link in the most recent video descriptions on YT), it was decided that a SPECS table would be very handy and usefull to have for ALL Members of the website. Now not only will the BRONZE Tier get access to ALL the Heat Maps on the database, but now there will be a table that is underneath with all the specs for the Irons.
Available Club numbers 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,PW,GW for example, the lofts of all the clubs, the Length of them and also the Lie angles. The Specs database may include further information such as Bounce and Offset numbers but until all manufacturers provide this data, it will be very difficult to populate these fields....
The Update should be beginning very soon.
11-06-25: YouTube content pause.....
June 12, 2025Hi All, just so you guys know that I won't be releasing a video this Thursday or Sunday due to the US Open. I accidently forgot during the last major tournament and I released a video where it received a less than expected view count. Most people will be watching Golf on TV rather than normal YouTube channels so I will release a more frequent release pattern next week to make up and get back on track.
09-06-25: US OPEN Week and its SCARY
June 12, 2025Its US Open week and have you seen what they have done to this iconic course. Not only have they stripped many of the trees, but they have grown some of the thickest and most lush rough that I have ever seen. It will be brutal with some players struggling to advanced the ball far at all, if they even find it. The Ball spotters will be on high alert for the full 4 days as this US Open proves to be one of the most toughest and difficult tests that Golf has ever seen.
Have your say on who will win and also what the winning score will be on my Discord (link below)

07-06-25: Have your SAY !!

Feel free to say what you think but please be constructive and give a clear explanation of your concept or thought as they are all valid and useful for the continued growth of the channel and website.
You can have your say on Discord below, its a link to my official Discord where like minded Golfers and website users alike chat and talk about all things to do with Golf.

05-06-25: First Titleist Iron video DROPPING Today.
June 05, 2025Finally its time to say that the first of 6 Titleist Irons Review videos is being released this afternoon. Starting with the now 6 year old Titleist 620CB. What has made this iron last so long? Is it because it performs amazing and is massively Forgiving also.... We will see today.....
Also ONE of these IRONS performs terribly on the Forgiveness front.... Which one do you think it is? Tell me on Discord (link on the homepage)
04-06-25: GOLD Self Fit Tool UPDATE
June 04, 2025Greetings AGN Community, just a quick update for the GOld Members using the Self Fit Tool to compare the flights and potential gapping of any of the now 80 irons.
We have been adding in some code that will reflect the changes to Angle of Attack and relative Dynamic Loft differences mainly caused by ball position and also shaft length change through 4-PW. Also adjusting for the very slight increase in Face Efficiency with a slower swing speed due to energy wastage in Sound and Heat with increased speed.
This update started Monday and is due to be finished today. Just to note until this is completed, that there may be some interesting Peak Height and Descent Angle numbers but the Carry and Gapping Data should still be very good.
Thank you for your patience during the update, thanks for your continued support for myself and the channel with being a recurring member of the askgolfnut.com website 👍
02-06-25: Titleist Irons Complete......
June 03, 2025Spoiler Alert, I have completed the Datasets for the Titleist Irons starting with the 620 CB going all the way to T400. They defo aren't what I expected. Some massive surprises in there and in some ways I now know why potentially Titleist didn't choose to interact with myself and the channels way of measuring objective performance.....
Absolutely something that you will have to wait and see with the reviews coming soon....
31-05-25: TITLEIST Irons are here......
May 31, 2025The Long awaited day has arrived, and I am now frantically filming all the B Roll footage before starting the Swing Speed Datasets and the Miss Hit Heat Map Forgiveness Datasets.....
6 Irons to do...... Wish my body luck 🤣
29-05-25: Cobra 3DP Tour Irons Review Coming Today...
May 29, 2025Possibly the WORLD's MOST FORGIVING Iron has been reviewed and is coming today. I'll be as close to normal upload time as I possibly can.
It has a very unique design which causes it to behave in a very unique and potentially very fortuitous way for EVERY Golfer at EVERY Level. Its design means that from the Centred Strike location it only looses 2% of it ball speed even from very poor misses. Its fastest part of the face however isn't in the middle. It is located slightly low on the face due to the 100grams of Tungsten within the Head.
27-05-25: Titleist Irons in build
May 27, 2025UPDATE: Irons now in build. As soon as they arrive, I will get them filmed from a B Roll point of view and get straight on doing the datasets needed for the Heat Maps and Reviews 👍
26-05-25: Cobra 3DP Irons Heat Maps complete
May 27, 2025Well that was a bigger dataset and discussion that first thought. More info coming in the review, but absolutely we have to re-think what Cobra have brought to the Golfing World....
24-05-25: Cobra 3DP Tour Irons Tested
May 27, 2025WOW, wait until you see this review coming for the NEW 3D Printed 3DP Tour irons from Cobra..... We have to think about Irons completely differently going forward, and Andy and I may well have to change the Heat Map Tech to keep up with the NEW 3D Printed Technology...
22-05-25: Titleist Iron Order Complete
May 27, 2025Just an update, the Order for the T100, T150, T200, T350, T400 and 620CB irons has been accepted and is in processing. Looking like a 5-7 working day turn around so hoping for some day late next week or early the week after for delivery.

16-05-25: Titleist Irons Order Spec
May 16, 2025Just in case anyone was interested in the spec coming from the T100, T150, T200, T350, T400 and 620CB irons......
KBS Tour 120g Stiff Standard Length
Standard Loft and Lie (Titleist run more upright than some brands)
Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip Std
All irons have the same shaft in them to remove the keyboard warriors determined to find something to complain about 🤣
15-05-25: Titleist are COMING........
May 15, 2025Great NEWS for the YouTube Channel and also the AGN Website. Titleist Irons will be reviewed and heat maps data added very soon.
I have put the order in today. Stock 7 Irons in the T100, T150, T200, T350, T400 and 620CB (haven't ordered the MB for fairly obvious reasons).
Titleist Marketing STILL have not responded.... So I have had to approach a local Titleist account and I have had to personally purchase the Irons. This has come at quite a price and I want to take the opportunity to say THANK-YOU to all the people that have used the DONATION button below to support me in this decision. Every Donation regardless of its size helps massively.
Costs for purchasing these 'DEMO' Irons is over £1000 retail so, again thank you for any Donations so far and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to any others 😁👍
14-05-25: Gold Tier Self Fit Tool just got better.....
May 14, 2025Well if you guys thought the Self Fit tool which has helped so many golfers already make better more personalised decisions on which Irons will best suit them for their needs, we have now included the irons average FORGIVENESS MISS as a part of the displayed Ball Flights.
This shows not only how the ball will potentially fly on any of the 70+ Irons on the database, and comparing another, but also now takes the average Forgiveness seen in the Heat Maps and applies the Ball Speed drop percentage to the AVG Ball Flight. Not only now can you compare any 2 of the 70+ Irons, you now can see the Consistency differences between both compared Irons.

13-05-25: Advanced Driver Metrics comes to the Website
May 14, 2025Over the last 3 months we have been in discussions and design of the NEW Advanced Driver Data that has now been launched in a preliminary version to get your feedback (please feedback via Discord on the website feedback channel). It works very similar to that of the Iron Advanced Data that has been available for some time as a Silver Tier and higher member, but has some specific metrics that will interest a lot of golfers. The NEW Bias feature where we have measured the true bias of the head whether Neutral, Fade or Draw biased which will suit different golfers stock trajectories.
This is version 1 and we have in development version 2 which has many more metrics such as Spin Profile stability in both axis so you guys can see how stable the driver is for Spin Stability, a hugely important factor when looking to get custom fitted into an optimised Driver setup, and more....
I want to take this opportunity to thank every member for being a part of askgolfnut.com without your support as a member we would not be able to bring you this valuable information which is measured data rather than the standard normal manufacturer marketing which otherwise plays a pivotal role in influencing your buying decisions.
12-05-25: Today I am setting the video schedule
May 12, 2025Now that most of the important products have been done (still have the NEW Srixon Drivers to complete) I am now focusing on your videos that you have been asking for and the compares....
In the interest of speed and getting through them I'm not going to complete any further hitting into the simulator as I have done all of that in the individual Full Video Reviews, I will reference the difference between Looks and Feel but will focus more on the actual differences between the Irons and who they would necessarily suit 👍
11-05-25: Vice BOOST Starter Set video coming today
May 12, 2025It's release day for the Vice BOOST Starter Set and its an absolute must watch for Golfers wanting the ultimate bargain or the golfer that wants tons of Forgiveness but at a really sensible price.....
09-05-25: This NEW Vice Starter Set is amazing
May 12, 2025Sneak Peak spoiler alert for the upcoming review. The NEW Vice Boost Starter Set has been put through its paces and tested the same way as I test all other equipment through the Heat Map Tech and Advanced Flight data for the Irons and Driver....
All I can say is this may well be the BEST and Most Surprising product of 2025 so far.......
06-05-25: New YouTube Thumbnail template.
May 06, 2025Tell me in the comment section of the latest video (Cobra DS ADAPT LS Driver) if you like the new thumbnail and if you think it worthy of becoming the new standard in thumbnail creation to give a bit more uniformity to the channels videos. It would also serve as time goes on to be able to identify at a glance the AGN content.
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section of the latest video on YouTube...
05-05-25: Added Legacy Irons to the database.....
May 05, 2025Greetings All, just so you know I have added a few more Irons older model irons to the database now that will allow you to compare the differences between OLD vs NEW.
I intend as time goes on to add more of the OLD model Irons to facilitate the identification of changes and improvements or not :-) as time goes on 👍
04-05-25: Titleist Irons for the Website?
May 04, 2025I need your honest opinion and please leave your feedback on Discord (preferably in the Teebox so all can read and get involved) but do you guys honestly feel it would be worth me purchasing the current Titliest irons myself for review and add to the website database? They are due to be replaced this coming year but it would also place us to be able to compare the old with the new once the replacements are here....
Again this unfortunately is due to Titleist continuing to ignore my attempts at contact. Speaking with other people this does seem to be a common thing and the overwhelming sentiment coming from people is that of all manufacturers Titliest prove to be the most difficult to work with.
Let me know your thoughts on Discord, link to Discord can be found in my most recent videos description on YouTube 👍
03-05-25: RoboNut Update....
May 03, 2025Quick RoboNut update, I'm waiting on China now to send a replacement motor. Things unfortunately take a long time to ship so it may well be another couple of weeks before I'm able to test the Swing Robot. I have some frame adjustments to do since the first test to ensure the Robot stays planted whilst swinging and the frame doesn't flex. But all things considered, it's an exciting start to the project....
02-05-25: Taylormade know how to do marekting.
May 03, 2025With Rory winning the Masters, Taylormade have decided to release a limited run of his Prototype Irons in I believe Rory own individual spec. Will you be interested in getting a set? Or are they just for the TM fan boys?
01-05-25: It's my favourite...
May 03, 2025edited the Cobra DS ADAPT LS Driver video, will release after I get back from a weekend away with the wife. We haven't had a break away even a couple of days for 18 months so a well deserved time.
30-04-25: The X isn't what it was??
May 03, 2025Cobra DS ADAPT X Driver Review dropping today. It is Cobras previously most sold model within the Darkspeed line... Now they have the Max K and I'm really wondering is there a need for the new X as the LS works really well and with the Max K at the other end, have Cobra made a redundant golf club?
28-04-25: First of the Cobras..
May 03, 2025Cobra DS ADAPT Max K Driver Review dropping today, spoiler alert actually it may well be the best 10K driver I've tested so far. Why oh why don't Cobra sell more Drivers? And Irons for that matter. Cobra on balance may well be the most underrated and under-represented Brand in Golf.....
27-04-25: Vice Starter Set
May 03, 2025Vice Starter Set delivered and will soon be completing the B Roll and also all the Heat Map data. This set comprises of 10 clubs and a bag and is just over £400. It may well promise to be as soon as the competitions more premium options... What a shock that would be... Stay tuned for the review.
26-04-25: Thank the Golf Gods
May 03, 2025Finally some Good News, after doing some diagnosis of the main Robot motor we've discovered that it's actually the wrong motor, the Chinese sent me the wrong one and now in talks to get the correct one sent....
24-04-25: Oh Dear.....
May 03, 2025Good News Bad News with the Robot and it's first test. Somewhat acted how we'd hope however there seems to be a huge issue with the speed that it will generate before skipping.... ☹️
22-04-25: Golf Swing Robot Update.
May 03, 2025Robot Frame and Tee Fraem constructed. I've opted for the ultra complex way to adjust tee height for the miss hits rather than moving the swinging arm relative to the ball. I've got 3 motors operating a X, Y and Z aspect. Going to be interesting programming all them to do what they are told 😊
21-04-25: Join the fun....
May 03, 2025Just a reminder for all, that not to miss our new Podcast fornat on Monday evenings (7pm UK Time) with myself and the Math Nut (Andy) who has been instrumental in the website and Heat Map tech design and application.
19-04-25: The channel is being Upgraded 😊
May 03, 2025Project RoboNut. So this month has been mixed with trying to get the last of the 2025 Drivers processed, reviewed and up on the website www.askgolfnut.com, and spending time designing and working out if it is even possible to build my own Golf Swing Robot. Everything I need has been ordered and am awaiting parts to arrive. The Frame design has been settled on with plenty of scope to add additional supports etc if needed when the big motor is placed on it.
The Robots job will be to take the workload off me from the 3 Different Swing Speeds point of view and also capture the miss hit data needed to complete the Heat Maps.
I'll keep everyone updated on its progress...
17-04-25: Only the Donkey work to do...
May 03, 2025B Roll complete on the Srixon Drivers.
16-04-25: Last 2025 Drivers...
May 03, 2025Srixon Drivers received and they definitely look different! Not entirely sure that all will like the looks but if the technology works then it will absolutely help Srixon grab some additional market share in the Driver market.
13-04-25: Spoiler Alert...
May 03, 2025Sneaky update to the Cobra Drivers.... I can't help but like the Max K (their 10k option). This Driver will take over from the X being the most popular option. It's incredibly stable and solid feeling.
11-04-25: Now this I'm unsure of....
May 03, 2025Cobra DS ADAPT Draw Driver received and it's one of the most neutral Draw Drivers around, doesn't sit Closed at Address so must be Draw biased via CG mainly. Will be interesting to see the Heat Maps on this club.
09-04-25: Cobra Updates.....
May 03, 2025Received the DS Adapt X Driver today, only the Draw Driver to come now. Data capture going well for the current Drivers received, reviews with be coming soon.
07-04-25: Cobra Updates...
May 03, 2025Cobra DS ADAPT Max K and LS arrived. Will be filming the B Roll and then starting the 3 Swing Speed Testing and Heat Map data capture.
04-04-25: New Arrivals.....
May 03, 2025Cobra Drivers (DS ADAPT Series replacing DarkSpeed) coming to the website with Distance Factor Heat Maps to show Distance loss from around the Club Face.
02-04-2025: Website LEGACY Irons UPDATE
April 02, 2025Greetings Website Members, I have been a little short on YouTube content over the last few weeks as I have been trying to give the knee some time to heal and also taking the opportunity to add some Irons from previous models into the database for Golfers wanting to compare OLD vs NEW.
Currently all the UPDATES are only available for the Gold Tier users as they have early access to all of the Equipment to be released onto the Database.
Hope you enjoy the added Irons.....
Self Evaluation.
March 26, 2025What we do here isn’t found in many other places — and we’ll admit, it’s not always easy to validate our results, even to ourselves.
So we reached out to one of the tools the world is starting to rely on for deep analysis and clear thinking: ChatGPT.
We had a long, detailed discussion walking through our approach and the math behind it — every model, formula, and assumption.
Here’s its overall evaluation:
“AskGolfNut has built one of the most thorough, physics-driven systems for analyzing golf club performance I’ve ever seen. I was walked through the entire process — from strike normalization to gear effect modeling to spin axis delta calculations — and every step was mathematically sound, conceptually accurate, and clearly designed to isolate the club’s true behavior. This isn’t just launch monitor data with a new label — it’s a full-blown diagnostic model that accounts for roll, bulge, strike sensitivity, and energy transfer efficiency. I would rate the technical and analytical approach as OEM-level — and far more transparent. If you're serious about understanding how clubs actually perform, this is the system to study.”

13-03-2025: For ALL GOLD Members UPDATE
March 13, 2025NICE FEATURE UPDATE for ALL Gold Members, is that in the next update to the Website (normally happens behind the scenes) ALL Gold Members will be able to access ALL the pre video release Iron and Driver data.
The only sticking point will be the embargoed product and for obvious reasons, there would be hell to pay if embargo product data and performance was leaked prior to release, but all other product that comes after the official embargo release and any extra videos I do to incorporate clubs not prior reviewed etc will be available for ALL GOLD Members to view and compare before the other Tiers 👍
This update should be coming soon !!
Just for info, Cobra Aerojet and DS Adapt Max is sitting on disabled which Gold Members will be able to see. Also there will Eleven Hybrid Data soon and some others coming, Cobra DS Adapt Drivers and Eleven Mini Driver........
12-03-2025: SRIXON ZXi4 UPDATE
March 12, 2025Greetings everyone, just a quick update on the meeting I have just had with Srixon. I have had a brilliant and open conversation with them and they were really interested in listening to the findings.
They instantly wanted the original sample back for testing and instantly organised getting a new sample to me for testing to see the results with a fresh head.
That should be arriving either late this week or early next and I will get on the testing straightaway and will prioritise its release ASAP on YouTube 👍
12/03/2025: SRIXON ZXi7 Review - Race Against Time
March 12, 2025Very quick update, I'm about to film the Numbers side of the review. It'll be panic stations later, trying to get it edited ready for this afternoon's release time, and also the meeting booke with Srixon today to discuss the results that have come from the Srixon ZXi4 Irons..... More on that after......
10-03-2025: Srixon ZXi Irons Reviews
March 10, 2025Greetings All, just some information regarding the upcoming ZXi Irons reviews. All the Datasets have now been completed for the 70,80 and 90mph Swing Speed tests. We are learning some interesting things with these new Irons, and as such has led to the creation of a further metric that may well be an extremely useful parameter in understanding Consistency of an Iron.
I am due to speak with the Engineers and Designers in Japan hopefully today that will answer some questions. Keep an eye out on the Live Stream later today for some further clarification.
Live Stream: Monday nights 7pm UK Time 👍
04-03-2025: Cobra KING TEC Irons Review COMING Today.
March 04, 2025A really good and informative Review of the NEW Cobra KINF TEC Irons coming today, and it also has in the Numbers Section of the video, a Comparison of the OLD and NEW to see just how well Cobra have done with the NEW Iron. Its kept all of the good qualities of the OLD Forged TEC and added what everyone wanted....

03-03-2025: Agggghhhhh....... Frustration......
March 03, 202528-02-2025: NEW vs OLD P790
February 28, 2025Guys, what did you think of the NEW vs OLD P790 Comparison, personally from a development point of view I feel what Taylormade have done with the new P790 in its improvement of the Forgiveness is commendable. Is it enough to justify an upgrade, most probably not due to the Premium price tag. If though you are a golfer looking for equipment and actually going to purchase and are choosing between the cheaper and older P790, then the new custom fitted P790's then really the extra money is worth it 👍
26-02-2025: Cobra KING TEC and TEC X videos upcoming.....
February 26, 2025Just now finished the datasets for the KING TEC for the Heat Maps and all the information required for this website. Will then move on to the TEC X and start the filming for them.
25-02-2025: THE BENCHMARK IS BACK ( TM P790 2025 )
February 26, 2025The Taylormade P790 2025 Review is here and with the benefit of the Heat Maps and Radar Charts, we see if the new Taylormade P790 is actually any good and how. Also the YouTube comparison will be coming soon. The Website Members will be able to see the comparison for themselves and also use the Tools to see just how much different (there's only so much I can get onto the YT video)
24-02-2025: The MOST Sensitive DRIVER I have EVER Tested?
February 26, 2025Wow, all I can say is if you are a Golfer that has good and bad days Striking your Driver then please please don't get sucked into the lovely Distance that this Driver can give.... Its very sensitive to being seriously OFFLINE when you aren't on your game.
On the big massive positive, its the nicest Feeling driver from the middle of the face, pretty poor from mishits though.
20-02-2025: Its time for some Titleist but not what you think....
February 26, 2025I'd love to say that this is the start of the Titleist Iron reviews however, its the GT2 Driver and then the GT3 Driver after. Still Titleist haven't answered my request for communication in getting a Media Partnership going.
Let me know what you think of the GT2 Driver, its bound to be the best overall Driver that they make..... we have the GT3 Driver coming after this and I can tell you that the GT3 is one very very sensitive big stick....
19-02-2025: My favourite Taylormade Qi35 Driver.....
February 26, 2025I have reviewed the BEST Taylormade Qi35 Driver that suits me (add comments on my video if you want the other models reviewed, click the Heat Map image on this site for a direct link).
It has to be my absolute favourite Taylormade Driver ever... Looks, Feel and Performace is bang on. Forgiveness is decent considering the model tested.
16-02-2025: Calllaway Elyte X Irons - and they are just better.....
February 26, 2025Video dropping and its the review of the X version of the Elyte Irons. OK the size of the Iron may not be to everyones liking, however, the Forgiveness Heat Map (or Ball Speed Retention) clearly shows in comparison to that to the normal Elyte, the X wins, and even when compared on the Radar Charts (Silver Tier), it also wins.
Solid Iron..... or poor Standard Eltye Iron?? What do you think?
13-02-2025: Callaway Elyte Irons Review
February 13, 2025The NEW Callaway Elyte Irons have been reviewed and is on my channel for everyone to watch https://youtu.be/faiVMW1VjF0
I have also made LIVE the Elyte on the Database so Members will be able to see how the New 2025 offering compares to the irons of the past and present. I hope to have the Elyte X Irons coming in the next few days as long as I can get the editing done in time.
Thanks for everyone's continued support, don't forget to LIKE all the YouTube videos, you can click on any of the Heat Map images on the website for quick direct access to the review in question.
12-02-2025: Also........ PING G440 Fairways / Hybrid Update
February 12, 2025The NEW PING G440 Fairways and Hybrids are now on the Database for everyone to compare. I have placed them in the Drivers section currently. We are looking to either segregate these into their own category button or at least rename the Driver Overlay button to Wood Overlay to accomodate the inclusion of Fairways and Hybrids into the Database. 👍
12-02-2025: Cobra Aeorjet 2023 inclusion into the Database
February 12, 2025Greetings All, good news. I managed to find a stray .csv file for the original Cobra Aerojet Irons test I did on my YouTube channel some time ago. I have put this into the Heat Map tech and has generated one. I am going through the process of updating the website so very shortly you'll be able to see 3 iterations from Cobra and how they as a company have decided to focus on the development of their irons over the last 3 models....
11-02-2025: Sorry for the lack of UPDATES......
February 12, 2025Its been a crazy time testing, filming, creating Heat Map datasets and editing to get all of the NEW 2025 products to you. The NEW Heat Map system has certainly made it a slightly slower process getting all the video out and edited but it has been very much so worth it.
Already we are gaining a picture of how much better or indifferent the NEW releases are from the manufacturers for 2025, some making massive strides where others seem to be treading water.
We have some Callaway Iron releases coming in the next few days with some very interesting Heat Map and Advanced Flight Data characteristics. All of the Full Reviews will be first released on my YouTube Channel and then set to Live on the website 👍
24-01-2025: UPDATE and apologies for the relative silence..
January 24, 2025Greetings All, as you can tell from the previous post I've been extremely busy, and this coming week is much of the same. Wednesday 29th January is the Wilson Launch Day and we have 3 NEW Drivers, 2 Fairways, 1 Hybrid and 2 New Irons.
I have to park the G440 Fairways and Hybrid videos to concentrate on the Wilson launch.
Just wanted to keep you up to date with the upcoming additions to the Heat Maps and also Advanced Data and updates to the Self Fitting Tool.
16-01-2025: Video Lists......
January 16, 2025Howdy All, just wanted to keep you up to date with the list of content coming up as soon as I can film and edit everything.... There is a lot of hitting to do.....
G440 Drivers (Max, SFT, LST)
G440 Fairways (Max, SFT and LST) if I have time
G440 Hybrid (also if time allows)
G440 Iron vs JPX925 Hot Metal
JPX925 Forged vs JPX925 HMP
JPX925 Forged vs Pro 245
JPX925 Forged vs JPX923 Forged
Cobra DS Adapt Drivers x 3
Wilson Drivers x 3
Wilson Fairways x 2
Wilson Irons x 2
Taylormade Qi35 Driver
Taylormade Qi35 Irons
Srixon Irons x 3
Srixon Drivers x 2
To name a few that have to be done as soon as I can possibly manage. That is a lot of shots and a lot of datasets, so bear with me as my poor body is going to be asking for a holiday 😀
15-01-2025: Swing Speed UPDATES
January 15, 2025Also wanted to let you guys know and also have your say (again comment in a recent YT video and I'll respond) that I am increasing the Swing Speed window of recording. It used to be 90, 100 and 110mph with the Driver. For the G440 videos I am experimenting with going 80, 95 and 110mph to try and encompass as many golfers as possible 👍
15-01-2025: PING WEEK is in motion with NEW Database updates....
January 15, 2025Greetings All, I just wanted to let you know I'm working hard on the new G440 Drivers, MAX, SFT and LST. Reviews coming as soon as I can get them up. There is a heck of a lot of work that goes into creating the Heat Maps etc and so I'll get them released as soon as possible.
Due to the amount of swings and effort (poorly knee included) that goes into them especially the Driver videos, I am seriously considering looking at a Swing Robot to do the donkey work..... I need to save my poor body....
What are your thoughts??? Comment in a recent YouTube video if possible as the extra engagement does wonders for the YT algorythm :-)
12-01-2025: DO YOU NEED A SECRET DRIVING WEAPON?
January 12, 2025The next NEW Mini Driver is here in the form of PXG Secret Weapon, yes its a daft name and absolutely not something that you'll be showing off to your golfing buddies name wise. But, this new Mini Driver could well be the answer to your Driving woes.
Its GREAT off the Tee, advertised as hittable off the deck although I'm not sold on that claim. I've done the testing and the review is coming later today.
FULL Forgiveness Testing and also tested at 80, 90 and 100 mph to encompass as many golfers needs as possible.
Tell me what you think of the new PXG Mini Driver in the comments of the YouTube video......
10-01-2025: WOW What a CRAZY Week.
January 10, 2025Thanks to all that have been watching the content this week starting with the JPX925 Forged, the Pro S3, the T1 and T3 wedges and finally the DRIVER Vid yesterday.
I'm currently working on the PXG Secret Weapon and then have the Ping G440 stuff coming next week. Hopefully also doing the Qi35 Drivers very soon, the Callaway soon after. Cobra DS Adapt Drivers and also the Forged Tec Irons. Srixon are hopefully on their way with the Wilson Drivers and Irons coming end of Jan.
All of these products will be added to the Club Database for you guys at whichever tiers you are to see the relevant data 👍
07-01-2025: Mizuno Launch Week_let me know your feedback
January 07, 2025Greetings All, a very busy week for me. Got a lot of content coming this week. Its Mizuno launch week. I'm interested in your thoughts and feelings Mizunos new products so please leave your feedback on the comment section on the YouTube videos 👍
06-01-2025: Mizuno Week Starts TODAY - Mizuno JPX 925 Forged Irons Review
January 06, 2025Greetings All, its time for Mizuno to show off their NEW Irons, starting with the JPX 925 Forged today and then the Pro S3 Irons tomorrow. The T1 and T2 wedges are releasing on Wednesday and then I'm lining up another video for Thursday which will surely get peope talking and shock people that are looking for a new Driver in 2025.....
03-01-2025: Happy New Year ALL - Mizuno T1 and T3 Wedges Review editing day
January 03, 2025Greetings All, I hope you all had a nice New Year. Today I am editing the T1 and T3 wedges review. There are going to be loads of reviews out there with the reviewers chipping balls 6 inches away from the pin, so in my normal way, I decided to focus on the differences between the T1 and T3 wedges, the Bounce and Grind options, which Golfers will benefit from the different designs and how they blend into the current Iron ranges.
30-12-2024: WEBSITE UPDATE
December 30, 2024For anyone that experiences any issues or problems with either Logging into the website or its function in any way, please email me at askgolfnut@gmail.com or jay@askgolfnut.com and I will look to fix the issue asap 👍
29-12-2024: Mizuno JPX925 Forged and Pro S3 videos underway
December 29, 2024Greetings guys, I hope you all had a lovely Xmas. I had Xmas Day and Boxing Day off and am back to creating the content ready for the January embargos. Still got the numbers side of the JPX925 Forged and Pro S3 irons to do and hopefully will film that today. I have the Pro S3 video to edit (now that is a lovely feeling iron) and they will be ready for January 6th and 7th at 2pm release.
I will also be doing a video of the JPX925 Forged against the older JPX923 Forged. As soon as the video releases the relevant Iron data will be activated on the website and you'll be able to see all the heat maps and advanced data from the respective iron.
23-12-2024: NEW Feature in Development
December 23, 2024Welcome Golfers, I wanted to let everyone know that there may well be a NEW Tool coming to the Gold Tier where by it takes a similar view to the classic manufacturer specific Static Website Fitting that is available online from quite a few of the manufacturers, where it asks your handicap and then a few questions to show potential options. NOW, just imagine doing something similar but with much more focused questions to really understand what properties you want from your next Irons..... AND, with it being not just manaufacturer specific but will every Iron that is on the Database.
This will allow you guys to tell the new tool, what you want from an Iron be it, Higher or Lower Launch, More or Less Spin, Potentially More Distance, or even what part of the club face you want your Irons to be MOST Forgiving from. The results will then be displayed for you regardless on manufacturer, it will display which Irons may suit you the best.
Still in Development stage at present, but it's a potentially amazing tool to allow you guys to quickly streamline the available Irons that suit your needs based on measured characteristics rather than Manufacturer Marketing 👍
I will keep everyone up to date with its progress and GO Live dates....
20-12-2024: Data Set UPDATE
December 20, 2024Well, managed to get through almost all of the datasets today of the NEW Mizuno JPX925 Forged and Pro S3 Irons to create the Numbers side of the videos... Normally I like to do them straight after filming the actual first hits but with the knee I need to try and space out the hitting as evenly as possible. Some interesting findings from both Irons....
20-12-2024: Mizuno JPX925 & Pro S3 data collection day
December 20, 2024Greetings All, fingers crossed my knee holds and I'll be completing the datra sets required for the JPX925 Forged and the Pro S3.
70 mph, 80 mph and 90 mph datasets and also all the Heat Map data for the Forgiveness. I'm not expecting much from the S3 as its basically a Blade but the JPX925 Forged is hoping to be a popular iron so I hope it performs well..... fingers crossed 🤞👍
18-12-2024: Sorry guys for the gap in updates
December 18, 2024Long Story short, I've had some household issues (Boiler decided to stop working) and I've had to concentrate on those over the past few days so that the house and Central Heating...... Its winter :-)
Back on the editing train with hopefully a video coming tomorrow with a What's In The Bag for end of 2024. It'll be interesting to see if any of the new offerings for 2025 will make it in the bag.....
15-12-2024: WOW was that one HECK of an Edit
December 15, 2024I hope you all enjoy the latest compare video of the Cobra DS Adapt vs the DarkSpeed Irons. It was one heck of a complex edit and honestly I really hope the video does well to justify the time creating it, and also so that it shows to me that you guys want to see this level of detailed content 👍

12-12-2024: IT'S RELEASE DAY for the Cobra DS Adapt Irons
December 12, 2024Well, the video is exporting as I type and then the upload process will start. Up against it today to get it all ready for the 2pm upload time......
Let me know guys what you think of the video and the New Iron from Cobra.... It was a complex edit as usual :-)
11-12-2024: I managed it.....
December 11, 2024Well good news on the Filming front. I managed to get through a filming session yesterday hitting and reviewing the new Cobra DS Adapt Irons. Still have some filming to do today and a lot of editing to get it ready for the video release embargo tomorrow at 2pm GMT. Still having to flare my left foot out quite considerably to protect the left knee but the face that I managed to hit and without too much in the way of discomfort is pleasing.....
10-12-2024: Its FILMING Day
December 09, 2024Ok so the eagle eyed among you will notice that this post is 1 day early, but I'm going to be sooo busy tomorrow that I may not have time for a daily update.
Tomorrow is filming day and I intend on getting the Full Review of the Cobra DS Adapt Iron and possibly the compare between the old and new irons. IF my knee holds ......... Wish me luck :-)
09-12-2024: The BUILD Continues
December 09, 2024Anyone ever say to me that re-building software after years of having setup just as you want it is a good idea..... Tell me to rethink the idea. It's been a total pain in the bum. Frantically trying to get everything up and running and working as before. There is a serious possibility that there won't be a Members Live Stream tonight if I can't get my resources sorted out ready for it.... Fingers Crossed I can get my Editing Software working as normal with all the plugins and graphics etc back, also my Sim Software too ...... What a PAIN !!
08-12-2024: My POOR PC
December 08, 2024Well, in the interest of making my working life easier I decided to Upgrade my PC's hard drive.... Out with the old 1Tb NVME and in with the new 4Tb NVME. After a troublesome cloning of the old to new drive, it worked. So I left the old drive alone for a few weeks to see if there are any issues, I decided its time to delete everything to use it for more important things.... Oh dear.... that was a mistake....
My PC didn't work...... So I've had to work hard today to get my PC back up and running, and then try and get it back to what it was.... Still have a lot of software to install but at least I can post to you guys again.
07-12-2024: Had a delivery of Wilson
December 07, 2024Media Samples delivered for the new Wilson Woods, Fairways and Hybrids. They seem to be pushing hard on the Driver front with 3 Models being released. Good news on the embargo date being late January.... My knee is very glad to hear it 😊
06-12-2024: They've only gone and brought it forward 😭
December 06, 2024Well I got an email today from Cobra saying they have moved the embargo date for the DS Adapt products to 12/12/2024 so that now means my knee has 4 less days to heal.... Thanks Cobra 🤦
05-12-2024: How filming can be done going forward......
December 05, 2024Knee still a problem....... so I am going to use the opportunity to get some 'talking head' videos and an explanation of 'What's in the Bag' etc done. No Golf shots obviously which is a shame, but I have to rest it with all the incoming 2025 products... I'm hoping that my knee won't affect those dates of the reviews coming out. The best thing I can do is not to be tempted to hit shots and give it its time to heal.
Thanks for everyones continued support, will be great to get all the new product on the database to see how the new 2025 equipment works especially compared to the previous versions.
04-12-2024: My Poorly Knee
December 05, 2024Definitely have done something to my left knee during filming last week and aggrovated it during data set collection for the Cobra DS Adapt Irons yesterday. Feels internal to the knee so concerned especially due to the time of year and all of the embargo'd product to get reviews done for.... Content may be lacking a bit now in December as I hope to see the knee heel ready for the reviews to happen on time........ Fingers Crossed...
